These are a few tips that I have come across that work best for me…
- Define your outcome identity. Do you want to become a better friend, stronger runner, or more motivating leader?
- Create identity behaviors. What would a strong runner do each week? Get creative. Get personalized. Now, take that behavior and cut it down to the easiest version of itself, one easy action. That is your first step.
- Write out a task timeline. Schedule progress checks. Weigh-in every Friday morning. This will serve to give you a record of your accomplishment. It also makes it easy for yourself to continue – everything is planned out.
- Feed motivation. Find friends with similar goals. Make a list of accomplishments. Visualize the new you. Put together a Pinterest board of inspiration.
- Succeed! Repeat.
